Mercer County has again ranked No. 1 among the state's 88 counties for total farm income in 2008, with an increase of almost 21 percent from 2007.
Higher market prices produced increases in almost all categories for the county, according to data in the 2008 Ohio Farm Income report, the most recent available. [More]

MARIA STEIN - It wasn't exactly the textbook way to put a basketball game away, but considering the circumstances, the Marion Local Flyers will take it.
The Flyers suffered a rash of missed free throws down the stretch, but had just enough in the tank to hold on for a rugged 46-44 victory over the St. John's Blue Jays, who came into the game ranked number one in the latest Division IV state poll. [More]
