After serving St. Marys Police Department, dog retires to life with his family

ST. MARYS - After five years on the police force, the department's old dog has retired and is now home with the kids playing like a young pup.
City police K-9 Nik, now 9-years-old, put in his last day in mid-January. The dog was purchased from the city for $1 by his handler, Patrolman Andy Liming, who talked with the newspaper on Monday. [More]

Officials: West Bank site to speed emergency response
Construction is again underway on a new boathouse for state and county emergency watercraft along Grand Lake's West Bank.
The project is expected to be done in a few months and should speed up response time for incidents that occur on the west side of the lake, local officials say.
