Estella Dailey
Former Rockford resident Estella Rose Dailey, 80, Celina, died at 7:14 a.m., Jan. 29, 2010, at the Gardens at Celina, where she had been a patient.
She was born July 29, 1929, in Decatur, Ind., to Roy and Irene Liby French. On July 26, 1947, she married Ralph Dailey, who died Nov. 5, 1990.
Surviving are three sons: Mark Dailey, at home, Robert (Betty) Dailey, Rockford, and Dennis (Cindy) Dailey of Van Wert; two daughters: Sandra Dailey of Celina, and Debra (Phil) Rigano of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are two sisters, Grace Alden and Mary Girod; and two brothers, Ervin and Harold French.
A homemaker, she was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church (now the Rockford United Methodist Church). She was a 1947 graduate of Rockford High School, a life member of the Rockford American Legion Auxiliary and the Celina Eagles Auxiliary.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home.
