Jacque LeCompte
Jacque LeCompte, 86, 6051 Nagy Rd., Celina, died at 8:20 a.m. March 3, 2010, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 26, 1924, in Dayton to Walter and Hazel (Bailey) LeCompte. On June 8,1946, he married Lucille Myrtle Dryden, who survives.
Also surviving are his daughter-in-law, Patricia LeCompte, Celina; a brother Allen (Norma) LeCompte, Dayton; two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Deceased is a son Howard LeCompte.
He worked as a tool maker for the Inland Division of General Motors in Vandalia and attended Montezuma United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army as an amphibious engineer during World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5713, and the American Legion Post #210, in Celina. He was also a member of the South Shore Sportsman Club and a member of the Celina Moose Lodge #1473.
Services are at 10:30 a.m., Monday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Dan Glover officiating. Burial is at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Included will be a service by the American Legion Post #210 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5713, at 5 p.m.
