Anna Louisa Briggs
Anna Louisa Briggs, 78, Spencerville, died at 9:30 a.m. March 15, 2010, at her sister's home, outside of Spencerville.
She was born April 17, 1931, in Mercer County, to Leo Roscoe and Anna Elizabeth Seibert Briggs.
Surviving are a sister, Betty (Emil) Allemeier, a brother, Raymond (Joyce) Briggs, and a sister-in-law, Peggy Briggs, all of Spencerville.
Deceased are three brothers, Charles, Richard and an infant.
She was a member of the Mount Union United Brethren in Christ Church, Spencerville, serving as a church pianist, a secretary to the administrative board and Sunday school teacher. In 1949 she graduated with honors from Spencerville High School and then worked as a secretary for the Lima Tank Depot. She later worked at Ford Motor Company as an administrative assistant to plant management for 42 years until she retired in December 1999.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Dale R. Bissel officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. today and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
