Arthur DeTomaso Sr.
Arthur DeTomaso Sr., 86, Celina, died at 6:30 p.m. April 9, 2010, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Holly, N.Y., to Anthony and Frances Tarsa DeTomaso. On Sept. 1, 1951, he married Geraldine Fullenkamp, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Arthur (Gayla) DeTomaso Jr. and Ronald DeTomaso, both of Bend, Ore.; a daughter, Theresa M. (Mark Kahlig) DeTomaso, Fort Recovery; two brothers, Ito (Lillian) DeTomaso, Kanahoe, Hawaii, and Andrew DeTomaso, Rialto, Calif.; six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Lida DeTomaso, and two grandchildren.
He retired from the U.S. Post Office in Long Beach, Calif. in 1981, and retired from the Corona-Norco School District in California in 1987. He was a member fo the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served in World War II from 1942-1946. He was a member of the Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5713, the Celina American Legion Post #210, and the Celina Knights of Columbus Council #1800.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial is at the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Arrangements are being handled by W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
