Nicholas Grillot
Nicholas L. Grillot, 64, Versailles, died at 2:10 p.m. April 29, 2010, as a result of a farm accident.
He was born March 23, 1946, in Osgood, to Vitales and Venera Bergman Grillot. He married Jacalyn Evers, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Chad and Joshua Grillot, both of Versailles; three brothers, Michael Grillot, Newport, Donald (Vicki) Grillot, Yorkshire, and Anthony (Theresa) Grillot, Osgood; and seven sisters, Elaine (Mark) Knapke, Kalida, Vivian (Thomas) Jutte, Bellefontaine, Yvonne (Doug) Hartwig, New Bremen, Maureen (Al) Martin, Jackson Center, Anita (Tim) Lewis, Portland, Ind., and Audrey (Dennis) Pond and Eunice Werling, all of Osgood.
Deceased are two daughters, Natalie and Emily Grillot; a sister, Judith Grillot; and a brother-in-law, Keith Barger.
He was a retired dairy farmer and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, and the Osgood American Legion Post honor guard.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at St. Valbert Cemetery with military rites by the Osgood honor guard.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Bailey-Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
