James E. Brussell, 81, Minster, died at 5 a.m. July 2, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.

He was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Springfield, Ky., to Len and Nancy Hare Brussell. On Jan. 18, 1948, he married Hattie Florence Arnold, who died Aug. 6, 2005.

Surviving are two sons, James (Rosemary) Brussell, Fort Loramie, and David (Darlene) Brussell, Minster; four siblings, Naomi Brught, West Palm Beach, Fla., Bill (Dorothy) Brussell, Minster, Alma (Lloyd) Wolf, Sidney, and Herbert (Irene) Brussell, New Bremen; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two sons, Jerry and Larry Brussell; a brother, Joseph Brussell; and a grandchild.

He retired from Midmark Corp., Versailles, and was a member of Calvary Chapel Baptist Church, Minster.

Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, the Rev. Brad Smith officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.

Calling is 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.
