Large crowd at LIA hears of state plans to defeat algae

CELINA - Aluminum sulphate may be dumped in Grand Lake to combat the excessive phosphorus that has led to massive algae blooms.
Ohio EPA Director Chris Korleski made the announcement during the Lake Improvement Association (LIA) meeting Saturday morning that drew a standing-room-only crowd at the Moose Lodge. [More]

CELINA - A letter requesting Ohio Governor Ted Strickland take action to prevent further degradation of Grand Lake St. Marys was distributed by the Lake Improvement Association (LIA) during Saturday's public meeting.

VERSAILLES - Graduation ceremonies are nothing new for Lewis Kremer. He has attended many of the festive events over the years for his eight children, 26 grandchildren and some of the 42 great-grandchildren.
