Young decorators create unique picture frames during programs held Monday afternoon at Minster's Francis J. Stallo Library. Natalie Hoying applies a generous amount of glue to a brightly colored shell to decorate her picture frame with a nautical theme. Librarian Becky Prenger said 400 children are participating in the annual summer reading program with a record 1,000 books checked out the first day. The program, complete with weekly arts and crafts sessions, runs through July 26.
