CELINA - Council members on Monday night approved the first reading of two ordinances related to future expansion of the city's wastewater treatment plant.

ST. MARYS - Water quality advisory signs have been placed along the Miami & Erie Canal in St. Marys following recent Ohio EPA testing that showed algae toxins in the water.
COLDWATER - The village's water line replacement project in the alley between East Walnut and East South streets is proceeding well, village manager/engineer Eric Thomas said at Monday's council meeting.
FORT RECOVERY - Firefighters from the Southwest District Fire Department responded to a turkey barn fire at 11:52 a.m. Saturday.
The barn is owned by Jerry Lochtefeld, 1780 state Route 119.

Some farmers who enrolled in a new USDA crop disaster subsidy program are going to benefit.
