Residents attend meeting to learn about $3 million facility

CELINA - City and county officials, farmers and concerned citizens asked many questions Tuesday about a proposed private manure digester to be located near Celina. Most went unanswered.

Pair allegedly used fake documents to get $64,000 in loans

Two Celina women face felony charges after they allegedly applied for and received approximately $64,000 in private education loans with fraudulent documents.
Joan Engle, 68, 8126 state Route 197, Celina, faces three counts of forgery and her 44-year-old daughter, Karen M. Tester, 601 Frahm Pike, Celina, was indicted on a single count. [More]

More ODOT subcontractors to begin working
CELINA - Construction of Main Street should intensify today as more subcontractors are scheduled to begin work, according to Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) supervisor Bob Lowry.

NEW BREMEN - Mayor Jeff Pape believes village officials dropped the ball - or in this case, the trash bag - when it came to seeking bids for a refuse contract.
NEW BREMEN - Four residents from the area of North Main and Boesel streets came before village council last week to complain about an unoccupied mobile home they consider a blight in the neighborhood.
NEW BREMEN - Rotary Centennial Park is taking shape along the Miami and Erie Canal - the culmination of six years of planning.
The New Bremen/New Knoxville Rotary Club raised $35,000 for the project.
Damaged lines disrupt phone service in 8-county area
Local phone services - including 911 in Mercer County - were disrupted for approximately 11 hours Tuesday due to an accident that severed fiber optic lines in northwest Ohio.
