Duyen Ta
Duyen "Danny" Ta, 52, St. Marys, died at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 12, 2010, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born Oct. 1, 1957, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Dien and Sang Thi Bui Ta. His mother survives; his father is deceased. On Dec. 11, 1978, he married Thu Thi Hung "Kathy" Nguyen, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Bao (Uyen) Ta, Lima, Thao Ta, Hackensack, N.J., and David Ta, Lodi, N.J.; and nine siblings, Khanh Ta, Trung Ta, Trihn Ta, Trang Ta, Tri Ta, Hoa Ta, Binh Ta, Hau Ta and Hop Ta.
He moved to the U.S. in 1983 and worked as a manicurist and manager of OP Nails in St. Marys. He was a veteran of the Vietnamese Army and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, the Revs. Hung Tran and Anthony Cutcher officiating.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys. A vigil by Deacon Martin Brown will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
