FORT RECOVERY - A team of archeologists will be surveying land in Fort Recovery to define the boundaries of two battles fought in the village more than 200 years ago.
The Fort Recovery and Ohio historical societies, along with Ball State University, have been awarded a $70,000 grant to study the 1791 Battle of the Wabash and 1794 Battle of Fort Recovery. The grant is from the National Park Service's American Battlefield Protection Program. [More]

MARIA STEIN - The Marion Local Flyers expanded the meaning of the term 'four-down territory' on Friday night with a pair of gutsy conversions that helped them beat the St. Henry Redskins 34-12.
The Flyers rolled the dice twice while deep in their own territory during a key third-quarter possession, and both times they hit the jackpot to keep the drive alive. The end result was a touchdown that made it a two-possession game and the Redskins never threatened thereafter. [More]
