Mary Leugers
Mary V. Leugers, 94, Minster, died Nov. 24, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
She was born Jan. 21, 1916, in Fort Loramie, to Bert and Rose Robbins Vonderhyde. On May 9, 1936, she married Edward H. Leugers Sr., who died Sept. 23, 1971.
Surviving are six children, Doris Frock, Piqua, Janet Koverman, Minster, Jan (Joe) Otting, Minster, Edward (Sonya) Leugers Jr., Minster, Marilyn (Jerry) Siegel, New Bremen, and David Leugers, Minster; a son-in-law, Michael Monnin, Fort Loramie; four siblings, Leonard Vonderhyde, New York, Catherine Bergman, Fort Recovery, Norma Wellman, Indiana, and Elsie Winner, Montezuma; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Also deceased are a daughter, Rosie Monnin; a grandchild; two sons-in-law, Donald Koverman and Jim Frock; two brothers, Bert Jr. and Richard Vonderhyde; four sisters, Edna Siegel, Irene Geise, Dorothy Hole and Emma Hoelscher.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster and the Minster Eagles 1391 Auxiliary. She was a homemaker.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
