Kenneth Dutton
Kenneth F. "Kenny" Benton Dutton, 75, Rockford, died Dec. 3, 2010, at his home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1935, in Westerville to George and Clara Mason Benton. His parents and adoptive parents, Tom and Charlotte Teegarten Dutton, are deceased. His fiancee, Pam Rasawuhr, survives in Mendon.
Also surviving are two daughters, Laurie Hessler, Dayton, and Alicia (Dan) Dutton Wolke, Noblesville, Ind.; a sister, Marlene (Melvin) Thomas, New Albany; and six grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.
Deceased are three sisters, Ilene Dickendesher, Pearl Benton and Jeanette Willis; three brothers, Melvin, Neal and Robert Benton; and a stepgrandchild.
He worked as a farmer. He also worked at the former Cron Tire & Supply Company in Celina and Maurer's Hardware in Mendon, and served as a Union Township trustee for 20 years. He was a graduate of the former Mendon-Union High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the states as a mechanic. He attended the Mendon First Church of God.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Dean Bruce officiating. Burial is at the Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
