Cornelia Culver
Cornelia Elizabeth "Nellie" Culver, 90, Celina, died at 9:37 a.m. Dec. 18, 2010, at Joint Township District Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born April 20, 1920, in Chickasaw to Frank and Librata Niekamp Eyink. On Jan. 29, 1942, she married Fred Culver, who died Sept. 6, 1987.
Surviving is a son, Fred (Lynn) Culver, Wapakoneta; five daughters, Ronda (James) Uhlenhake, Newark, Dolores (Matt) Schwieterman, Coldwater, Judy (Doug) Eblen, Celina, Mary (Larry) McMurray, Celina, and Brenda Culver, Kennesaw, Ga.; a brother, Eugene (Peggy) Eyink, Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Florentine (Bob) Meyer, Botkins; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Eyink, Cincinnati, and Mary Etta Eyink, Montezuma; 22 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is an infant son, Daniel Culver; and siblings and their spouses, Larry Eyink, Jerome and Virginia Eyink, Arthur Eyink and Tharsilla and Leo Siefring.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, where she was a member of the Resurrection Choir and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Eagles, Moose Lodge, the American Legion Post 210 Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 Auxiliary, all of Celina. She was a member of the Big Sisters of America. She owned and operated Carter Villa Restaurant with her husband from 1973 to 1981.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Ken Alt officiating. Burial is at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and before 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
