Harold Goettemoeller
Harold J. Goettemoeller, 83, Botkins, died Jan. 2, 2011, at Dorothy Love Retirement Center.
He was born Jan. 9, 1927, in St. Henry, to Gregor and Mary Kramer Goettemoeller. On Sept. 6, 1952, he married Dolores L. Eilerman, who died Sept. 23, 2001.
Surviving are six children, Duane (Melody) Goettemoeller, McCartyville, James Goettemoeller, Botkins, John (Diana) Goettemoeller, Botkins, Nancy (Carl) Stehulak, Defiance, Joe (Joanna) Goettemoeller, Botkins, and Pam (Jim) Kaiser, New Bremen; four siblings, the Rev. Leonard Goettemoeller, Carthagena, Ivo (Esther) Goettemoeller, St. Henry, Mildred Wuebker, St. Henry, and Wilma Link, Fort Recovery; brothers- and sisters-in-law, George Minnich, Portland, Ind., Verena Goettemoeller, Rockford, Wilma Drees, New Carlisle, Edna Fullenkamp, Botkins, Cletus and Dolores Eilerman, Columbus, Leona Speck, West Milton, Ralph Eilerman, Fort Loramie, Sr. Marge Eilerman, Booneville, Ky., Donald Schwartz, Botkins, and Rita Eilerman, McCartyville; and 20 grandchildren.
Deceased are 12 siblings and in-laws, Alvin Goettemoeller, Marie Minnich, Norbert and Edna Kremer, Lawrence Link, Ray Wuebker, Urban Fullenkamp, Rita and Richard Brunswick, John Speck, Mary Schwartz and Norbert Eilerman.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Botkins, the IBEW Local 32 and NFO. He was a Korean War veteran. He was an electrician for Sidney Electric and a farmer.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. John Tonkin officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
