Edgar Bruns
Edgar H. Bruns, 69, Russia, died Jan. 25, 2011, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.
He was born May 7, 1941, in Russia, to Stephen and Lucille Monnin Bruns. On May 12, 1962, he married Carole Ritter, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Greg (Kathy) Bruns, Russia, Scot Bruns, Russia, and Nichole (Nickolas) Schulze, Oran; two siblings, Marilyn (Jim) Cullen, Tipp City, and Anthony (Linda) Bruns, Versailles; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Jack (Joan) Alexander, Cassella, Ken (Cindy) Alexander, Fort Loramie, Gene (Jeanie) Bruns, Maria Stein, Joy Mason, Centerville; and five grandchildren.
Deceased is a stepsister, Sherrie Mescher.
He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia. He was also a member of the Russia Board of Education and Knights of Columbus. He was owner and operator of Bruns Machine and Tool.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Russia.
