Spelling bee

Logan Ranly, a sixth-grader at Fort Recovery Middle School, correctly spelled "orthographize" to earn the title of champion speller at the Mercer County Spelling Bee held Monday evening at Wright State University-Lake Campus. Twenty-five students, who were spelling winners at Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Parkway and St. Henry schools, competed. Ranly is the daughter of Dan and Jill Ranly, Fort Recovery. Placing second was Kelly Jutte, daughter of Larry and Jean Jutte of Coldwater, and placing third was Grant Zeigler, the son of Jason and Kim Zeigler of Coldwater.
