Louis Garke
Louis E. "Elmer" Garke, 68, Versailles, died at 12:30 p.m. March 31, 2011, at his residence.
He was born April 14, 1942 in Wendelin to Raphael H. and Anna C. Ahrns Garke. On Dec. 6, 1976, he married Barbara A. Bey, who survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ray (Joan) Garke, St. Henry, and Jim (Betty) Garke, Burkettsville; three sisters, Janice (Mario) Curci, Beatrice (Ken) Alig and Marceil (Roman) Hemmelgarn, all of Fort Recovery; and a brother-in-law, Marvin (Gail) Bey, Anna.
A member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown, he is a former member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Wendelin. He also is a member of the Catholic Knights at St. Joe and the National American Watch Clock Chapter 23, Moraine.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in St. Wendelin Cemetery.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
