At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Nicholis Howe
Nicholis A. Howe, 64, Coldwater, died at 11:15 p.m. May 2, 2011, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Aug. 30, 1946, in Celina, to Harold "Chick" and Agnes Katterheinrich Howe. On April 12, 1969, he married Connie S. Geise, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Joel (Amber) Howe, Coldwater, and Jennifer (Tony) Book, Fenton, Mich.; a brother, Ronald (Linda) Howe, Jonesboro, Ind.; mother-in-law, Butch Geise, Coldwater; in-laws, Janet (Ralph) Gels, Coldwater, Sandy (Charlie) Fortkamp, Maria Stein, Don (Jennifer) Geise, Vandalia, Pat (Jerry) Kanney, Coldwater, and Jim (Tammy) Tangeman, New York; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are father-in-law, Elmer Geise; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Howe and Deb Tangeman.
A member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, he was an Eagle Scout, former president of the Vintage Motor Bike Club, and a member of the Eagles Lodge, Coldwater. He worked at Minster Machine for 39 years and operated Nick Howe Sales & Service, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials may be directed to Cancer Association of Mercer County or State of the Heart Hospice.
