Council considers annexing mobile home park, landing

MINSTER - Village council members Tuesday night asked for resident input on the possible annexation of land housing a mobile home park as well as a landing along Lake Loramie.
Councilman Craig Oldiges said Jeff Sommer, owner of West Lake Village and Spirk's Landing, approached the village regarding extension of water lines to his properties. Both are within 1 1/2 miles from Minster's corporation limit. [More]
Endangered mussel study to cost county

Auglaize County must pay for a survey looking for endangered mussels before work on a bridge can begin.
During a tour of bridges and ditches with commissioners, county engineer Doug Reinhart said the bridge off County Road 66A, two miles north of St. Marys, must be inspected for the rayed bean mussel that lives in the Auglaize and St. Marys rivers and Pusheta Creek. [More]
