Donald R. Sorrells, 65, Coldwater, died June 11, 2011, in Coldwater.

He was born in Happy, Ky., on March 16, 1946, to James E. and Evalee Hickman Sorrells. In 2000, he married Patricia Laughlin, who survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Laura Sorrells, Dayton; two sons, Don Sorrells, Centerville, and Tony Sorrells, North Carolina; three brothers, Jerry Sorrells and David Sorrells, both of Fairborn, and Gary Sorrells, Hillsboro.

Deceased is a brother, James E. "June Bug" Sorrells Jr.; former wife, Dixie Sorrells; and a granddaughter.

The former Fairborn resident was a member of the Lighthouse Fellowship Church, Celina. He retired from Wright State University after many years of service.

Service is 1 p.m. Thursday at Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, Fairborn, the Rev. Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery.
