Digging into summer
Photo by William Kincaid/The Daily Standard

Several children enjoy the first official day of summer on Tuesday by swimming and building a sand castle at the pond at Celina's Eastview Park. Weather conditions were hot and humid Tuesday, with local weather forecaster Dennis Howick reporting a high of 82 with nearly a quarter inch of rain. Chances of rain continue through Friday, with temperatures dropping into the low 70s on Thursday and Friday.
