Russell Turner
Russell M. Turner, 83, Coldwater, died July 10, 2011, at Heartland of Greenville.
He was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Allen township, Darke County, to Balinger Berlin and Grace Ethel Gray Turner.
Surviving are sisters, Dorothy Boyd, Virginia Gilmore, June Wentworth and Norma Rammell; brothers, Junior (Phyllis) Turner and Robert (Nadine) Turner; a sister-in-law, Janet Turner; and brothers-in-law, Lloyd Taylor, Ralph Schaar, Harold Wentworth, Carroll Peters and Steve Hocker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, R. Wayne Turner; sisters, Anna Mary Taylor, Ruth Schaar, Alice Wentworth, Alta Peters and Mildred Hocker; and brothers-in-law, Palmer Boyd, Dale Wentworth, Harold Rammel, Jim Gilmore and Buryl Wehrley.
He was retired from New Idea, Coldwater. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Rossburg United Methodist Church and the Coldwater American Legion.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. John Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Brock Cemetery. Full military honors will be offered by Greenville Veterans Honor Guard
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
