It was a good week for Grand Lake.
Sunday marked the return of the Governor's Cup Regatta which brought thousands of visitors to the community. The race returned after last year's hiatus due to toxic water conditions and provided a boost to local businesses struggling as tourism has faltered.

SIDNEY - The statistics didn't look impressive at first glance, as the Minster Wildcats only outgained the Sidney Lehman Cavaliers by 21 yards for the game. But field position and two scores by an opportunistic Wildcats' defense resulted in a resounding 41-13 win for Minster over Lehman.
KENTON - What looked to be a strong start by St. Marys turned into a blowout by Kenton and star Wildcats' quarterback Maty Mauk.
