The Eagle dredge works near the mouth of Coldwater Creek on Grand Lake recently. The unit is one of three dredges used by the state to suck sediment from the bottom of the lake to keep it navigable for watercraft. The Coldwater Creek project began this spring and will last the remainder of this year and likely into next season, said Brian Miller, manager at Grand Lake St. Marys State Park. The sediment is being pumped to a dredge material relocation area next to the Celina Rotary Dog Park along West Bank Road.
