At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Rev. Edward Joyce
Rev. Edward Joyce, C.PP.S., 81, died Oct. 22, 2011, in the infirmary at St. Charles Center, Carthagena.
He was born July 7, 1930, in Cleveland, to Peter and Loretta Murphy Joyce. He entered the Society in 1944, and was ordained on June 2, 1956. After ordination, he received his licentiate in scripture at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum) in Rome.
Surviving are three sisters, Katherine Gedeon, Parma, Loretta Bunevich, Cleveland, Sheila (Edward) Richter, Port Angeles, Wash; a sister-in-law, Joanne Joyce, Cleveland; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Eileen Milne; a brother, Peter Joyce; and three brothers-in-law, Harlan Milne, Robert Gedeon and William Bunevich.
He was an instructor at St. Charles Seminary in Carthagena until 1964 when he was named a professor at St. Joseph's College, Rensselaer, Ind. He also served as the college director of development. Health issues forced his early retirement and he made his home in Laguna Niguel, Calif. He moved to St. Charles Center this year.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Center, the Rev. Larry Hemmelgarn officiating, and Rev. Ernest Ranly as homilist. Burial will follow in the community cemetery.
Calling is 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at St. Charles with a wake service at 7 p.m.
