Lowell Loughridge
Lowell E. Loughridge, 87, Celina, died Oct. 29, 2011, at Celina Manor.
He was born Jan. 23, 1924, in Celina, to James L. and Ilo D. Ford Loughridge. On Oct. 17, 1945, he married Lucille C. Meier, who died July 22, 2009.
Surviving are children, Sharon (Edward) Elliott, Dayton, Dianne (Gary) Rolfes, Celina, Sondra (Larry) Roth, Celina, and Teresa (Gary) Prill, Van Wert; a brother, Richard (Lyn) Loughridge, Celina; a stepbrother, Charles (Betty) Miller, Celina; a sister-in-law, Cleo Loughridge, Celina; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are brothers, James and Jerry Loughridge; a sister, Maxine Woodruff; a sister-in-law, Ruth Loughridge; and brother-in-law, Maurice "Woody" Woodruff.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina. He had served with the U.S. Army Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber, St. Marys.
He was a member of the Pairs & Spares Sunday School at the church, the Celina V.F.W. Post and the Celina American Legion Post.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Matt Reynolds and Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Tuesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour before services at the church Wednesday. The V.F.W. and American Legion will conduct services at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
