Eva Bigelow Carver
Eva Bigelow Carver, 82, St. Marys, died at 9:50 a.m. Jan. 5, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born July 15, 1929, in Langley, Ark., to Lon and Lenora Cowart Brown.
Surviving are a son, Larry (Julie) Bigelow, Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Cynthia (Greg) Snyder, St. Marys; stepdaughters, Sherry (Bob) Barga, Celina, Mary (Todd) Shellabarger, St. Marys, and Kathy (John) Sampson, St. Marys; sisters, Charlene Mazzo, Rialto, Calif., and Ina (Jerry) Gilke, Fort Worth, Tex.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are her first husband, Harold Bigelow; second husband, Thomas Carver; siblings, Rupert Brown, Jadie Brown, Leslie Auritle, Mabel Parker and Etna Bloomstrand; and half-sister, Freddie Taylor.
She was a 1946 graduate of Langley High School and a retired production employee from Mersman Corporation, Celina. She attended Hillsdale Baptist Church and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 Ladies Auxiliary, both in St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. Sunday and after 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
