Auglaize sales tax income at record high

WAPAKONETA - Sales tax revenue in Auglaize County reached an all-time high in 2011, eclipsing the previous high in 2008.
The county collected $7.1 million in 2011, topping 2008's collection of $7.03 million. Collection in 2009 dropped to $6.3 million and rose to $6.5 million in 2010. [More]

CELINA - A major waterline replacement project has been pushed back for a second time.
Mayor Jeff Hazel and safety service director Tom Hitchcock said the East Market Street project, estimated at more than $1 million, has been rescheduled for 2013. It initially was planned for 2011 but was scrapped due to high bids. [More]

Seventeen bridge and large culvert projects totaling about $2.5 million are planned this year in Mercer County.
The local share of the cost is estimated at $987,699, according to county engineer Jim Wiechart.
