About 10,000 feet of dredge line is being stored at Windy Point in preparation for dredging on Grand Lake this year, said state park manager Brian Miller Thursday. Another 4,000 feet is stored at the Mercer Wildlife Area off state Route 703. The state park this year hopes to remove 275,000 cubic yards of sediment from the lake. Projects planned are the Anderson channel near the Mercer County Sportsmen Club, the mouth of the Otterbein Retirement Community channel, Riley Bay just east of the Lake Campus, the mouth of Coldwater Creek at U.S. 127, the mouth and part of the channel at It's It Road, the mouth of Breezewood subdivision channel, the mouth and part of Little Chickasaw Creek and the mouth of Prairie Creek.
