Lavaun Schwartz
Lavaun A. Schwartz, 83, New Bremen, died at 8:55 a.m. March 12, 2012, at Fairhaven County Home, Sidney, where she had been a resident for four years.
She was born July 7, 1928, in Celina to Leonard and Anna Kramer Klosterman. On Sept. 10, 1949, she married Francis L. Schwartz, who died May 7, 1999.
Surviving are four children, Ruth (David) Dicke, Perrysburg, Ginny Wilt, Anna, Daniel (Robin) Schwartz, Worthington, and Kathy (Alan) Platfoot, New Bremen; four siblings, Roger (Alice) Klosterman, The Villages, Fla., Janet (Dennis) Bonifas, Edgerton, Leonard (Juanita) Klosterman, Kettering, and Melvin (Rosemary) Klosterman, Ocala, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Virgil Klosterman; a son-in-law, Robert Wilt; and a grandchild.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, and the Rosary and Altar Sodality of the church. She was a former CCD teacher. She was a homemaker.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. John Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
