Lowell Dues
Lowell A. Dues, 79, Coldwater, died at 10 p.m. March 30, 2012, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born Feb. 6, 1933, in St. Henry, to Joseph and Mary Kaup Dues. On April 26, 1952, he married Joan C. Streacker, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Karen (Jeff) Behm, Michael Dues, Teresa Dues, all of Coldwater, Kelly (Don) Pfeffenberger, Celina; seven sisters, Genevieve Schmitz, St. Henry, Wilma Naber, Minster, Helen Homan, Coldwater, Maria Dues, Dayton, Jeanette (Howard) Osterholt, St. Henry, Marilyn (Willard) Froelich, Coldwater, Mary Ann (Don) Post, Coldwater; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Dues, Eaton, Barbara Dues, Bay City, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Helen Dues, Joseph and Coleen Dues, Wilfred Dues, Stanley and Dorma Dues, Gregor Dues; five brothers-in-law, Thomas Homan, Gregor Schmitz, Vernon Naber, William Billerman, and Leroy Huelsman.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, Montezuma, and its Holy Name Society, Coldwater Eagles and was a life member of American Legion Post 470. He was a member of the Lake Improvement Association, from which he received a Guardian of the Lake award. He was retired from Minster Machine.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, with military rites.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
