Tuning up with a professional

Celina High School students Baily Vantilburg, Lauren McDonough, McKenna Houser, Katelyn Sweeney and Alyssa Wilkins learn new techniques of the clarinet from professional musician Shelley Roland of Clarkston, Mich., on Monday morning at St. John's Lutheran Church in Celina. Band director Angela Kalcec set up the workshop to give band members an opportunity to work one-on-one with a professional. Participating were 79 students and 10 instructors.
