Walking for a child in need
Photo by Amy Kronenberger/The Daily Standard

Celina High School students on Wednesday show off their dirty feet after walking a mile barefoot around the high school track. The students walked barefoot then decorated TOMS brand shoes they purchased to raise awareness about global poverty and children who cannot afford shoes. Sophomore Kailee Ross and junior Sara Smith decorate their TOMS. For every pair of shoes purchased, the brand donated a pair to a child in need. Some of the decorated shoes will be on display at The Potter House on Main Street.
