Leonard Browning
Leonard T. Browning, 87, formerly of Harrison, died at 3:47 a.m. May 30, 2012, at Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices, St. Marys.
He was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Woodbine, Ky., to Andrew J. and Grace A. (Decker) Browning. On May 10, 1947, he married Lois B. Burch, who died March 18, 2008.
Survivors include two daughters, Sister Lynn Julian, CT, of Convent of the Transfiguration in Cincinnati, and Wanda (Daryl) Dammeyer, New Bremen; two brothers, Bill Browning of Woodbine, Ky., and Jerry Lawson of Portageville, NY; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Albert, Willard and Julice Browning and a sister, Marie Richmond.
He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served as a corporal in the 557th Bombardment Squadron in France during World War II. He retired as supervisor of refinery maintenance for Chevron Corp., Cincinnati.
Funeral rites are 3 p.m. Friday at Meyer Community Chapel at the Otterbein campus, the Rev. Dean Greenwood officiating.
Calling is one hour prior to services Friday at Otterbein.
Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, Ky.
