A new, $135,040 grass truck is now part of the Celina Fire Department fleet. The purchase was authorized by city council members last year and delivered Saturday by manufacturer Weis Fire & Safety Equipment Company, Inc. ,of Salina, Kan. The new vehicle - paid for with funds from an additional half percent income tax levy approved by voters for the police and fire departments - replaced the department's 1984 GMC grass truck. The new truck has a 400-gallon water tank and a nozzle on the front bumper.
