Farmers in Mercer and Auglaize counties sustained millions of dollars in mostly structural damage and some lost animals related to Friday's storm that collapsed buildings and tore off roofs.

A second round of weekend thunderstorms packing winds up to 60 mph, menacing lightning and 1-inch hail blew into Mercer County on Sunday afternoon.

Fortunately, there were no straight line winds like those that damaged structures and toppled trees across the region and state on Friday.

COLDWATER - Jean Fortkamp of Coldwater was watching TV in her family room Friday afternoon when she heard the wind pick up outside. Before she could get up from her couch, a large section of a tree from her backyard came crashing through her ceiling about two feet from where she sat.
