Iseler Demolition of Romeo, Mich., removes Fort Recovery's 60-year-old water tower on Link Street piece by piece on Monday afternoon. Because of the confined space - the tower was surrounded by homes and the village hall - the demolition crew cut the tank apart with torches and used a crane to lower sections to the ground instead of just knocking it over, village administrator Randy Diller said. The operation took about six hours to complete. Isler completed the work for $7,800; an engineer's estimate was $24,000.
