...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers...
St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:40 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Dale Miller

Dale W. Miller, 78, formerly of Minster, died at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 22, 2012, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.

He was born Jan. 26, 1934, in Cincinnati, to Florence Miller. On Nov. 3, 1956, he married Marilyn C. Thobe, who survives in Piqua.

Also surviving are children Kristine (Mike) Gorman, Piqua, and Tony (Amy) Miller, Fort Wayne; in-laws Mary Thobe, Maria Stein, Alice Varno, Sidney, Ginny Thobe, Maria Stein, Jiggs (Velma) Thobe, Maria Stein, Mary Mescher, Coldwater, Martha (Tom) Warner, New Bremen, Don (Patty) Thobe, Maria Stein, Brownie (Shirley) Thobe, Maria Stein, Margie (David) Moeller, Cassella, Dutch (Jean) Thobe, Maria Stein, Lois (Jay) Hogenkamp, Carthagena, and Larry (Sandy) Thobe, Celina; four grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and belonged to the Minster VFW. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.

Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.

Calling is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
