Margaret Hodge
Margaret Jean "Peg" Hodge, 77, Rockford, died at 12:57 p.m. Oct. 2, 2012, at her home.
She was born Aug. 18, 1935, to Lester James and Mary Elizabeth Lutz Simon. On May 29, 1969, she married Robert Hodge, who died Jan. 31, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Mike (Teresa) Heiser and Rod (Jan) Heiser, both of Rockford; two stepsons, Steve (Cindy) Hodge, Celina, and Gary Hodge, Rockford; one daughter, Pam Beahrs, Rockford; a step-daughter, Sherri Hodge, Celina; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a brother, Danny Simons.
She retired in 1992 from the Mercer County Welfare Department, where she had worked as a supervisor. She belonged to Rockford United Methodist Church.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, Rev. Chip Steffy officiant. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
