Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

CELINA - An above average number of health insurance claims this year by spouses of county workers prompted officials to make cost-cutting changes in 2013.
At a meeting Tuesday with elected and appointed officials, Mercer County Commissioners announced that spouses offered insurance by their employers will only receive secondary coverage from the county starting in January. Currently, they can receive primary coverage from the county. [More]

WAPAKONETA - Funds remain strong for the Auglaize County Solid Waste Management District.
District superintendent Dave Reichelderfer told board members during their biannual meeting on Tuesday the solid waste management fund has a cash balance of $609,227 as of Sept. 30. [More]
