Helena Davis
Helena G. Davis, 84, Rockford, died Nov. 16, 2012, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born June 11, 1928, in Albany, to Howard and Jennie Davis.
Surviving are two brothers, Dale Davis and Paul Davis, both of Albany.
Also deceased are two brothers; Glen Davis, Cleveland, and Kenneth Davis, Athens, and a sister, Isabelle Morrison, Cleveland.
She was a baker and waitress at Motor Inn Restaurant, Mercer, until 1972 when the restaurant changed owners. She then operated the White Horse Restaurant in Rockford until it burned down in 1981. She returned to Motor Inn, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at the church, pastors Jim Kaiser and Richard Van Horn officiating.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Another funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Rolling Hills Baptist Church, Athens, where friends may call, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial is Saturday at Alexander Cemetery, Albany.
