Ruth Leugers
Ruth E. Leugers, 88, St. Marys, died at 1:45 p.m. Nov. 29, 2012, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St Marys.
She was born May 15, 1924, in Celina to Edmund J. and Frances K. Meyer Pax. On Nov. 20, 1946, married Lloyd "Louie" Leugers, who died April 5, 2001.
Surviving are two sons, John (Lucinda) Leugers, New Bremen, and Jerry (Pat) Leugers, Fairfax Station, Va.; three daughters, Theresa (Charles) Rowen, St. Marys, Patricia Pertz, Perrysburg, and Mary Jo (Ken) Sheeley, Richmond, Va.; eight sisters, Mary Catherine Brunswick, Minster, Norma Irvin, Cincinnati, Madonna Issen, Daphne, Ala., Bernadette Disque, Cincinnati, Rita (Norman) Klosterman, Celina, Barbara Geiser, Fostoria, Edwina (Gordon) Meyer, Huber Heights, and Florentine (Don) Cafferty, Cincinnati; a brother, LaVern (Shirley) Pax, Pickerington; and two sisters-in-law, Lillian Pax, Mesa, Ariz., and Ruby Pax, Columbus; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Richard Pax, Leonard Pax, Charles Pax and Vincent Pax; and a sister, Juanita Schindler.
She was a 1942 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Celina, and was a homemaker and worked in central supply at Joint Township Hospital for several years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, and its Altar Rosary Sodality and the Legion of Mary.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
