Miriam Klipfel
Miriam R. Klipfel, 100, formerly of Celina, died Nov. 25, 2012, at the Neville Center, Cambridge, Mass.
She was born Nov. 24, 1912, in Celina to Kathryn and Otto F. Rentzsch. She married Arthur A. Klipfel Jr., who died in 1965.
Surviving are her son, Arthur, Cambridge, Mass., three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased is her brother, Hugo Rentzsch.
She graduated in 1934 from Radcliffe College, with a focus on music. Following her husband's graduation from Harvard Law, she moved with him to his hometown of Wapakoneta, where she taught music.
After her husband's death she earned a Master's Degree in Psychology and moved to Florida where she worked as a counselor for a private school.
She later moved to Cambridge, Mass., where she worked for Elder Care, an organization which helps seniors find employment. She also taught writing at the Harvard Institute for Learning and Retirement.
Rogers Funeral Home, Cambridge, handled cremation.
A private service will be held in June in Wapakoneta.
