Lois Slorp
Lois A. Slorp, 76, Celina, died peacefully in her sleep at Celina Manor Nursing Home on Jan. 30, 2013, and will be missed by her loving family and friends.
She was born April 25, 1936, in Covington, Ky., to Fred and Florence Hughes Chambers, who are deceased. On Feb. 14, 1954, she married Kenneth Slorp, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sue (Denney) Gehle, Celina, Brenda (Bill) Jenkins, Huntsville, and Nancy Patten (Greg Thompson), Celina; three grandchildren, Dave (Jodi) Wilkins, Columbus, Jamie (Joe) Stachler, Celina, and Amanda Mock, Celina; and six great-grandchildren. She also will be missed by her dog, Kelly.
Deceased is a brother, Paul Chambers, and a sister, Mary Stanton.
She was a 1954 graduate of West Alexander High School and retired from Goodyear, St. Marys, where she had worked 30 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and the prayer line at the church. She also was a member of Celina American Legion.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
