Marvin Lenker
Marvin H. Lenker, 79, Rossburg, died at 11:43 p.m. Feb. 12, 2013, at Heartland of Greenville. He was born April 22, 1933, in Rossburg to Gerald and Ruth DeWeese Lenker, who are deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Culver Lenker; children, Betty (Edward) O'Shea, Ron (Dan) Drish, Brenda (Les) Gibson, Barbara Pruit (friend, Jim), Shirley Coby (Allan) Phillippi, Kathy (Ron) Widener, Jackie (Dane) Whittington, Janice (Danny) Vie, Mary Culver, Joyce (Dale) Lyme and Mike (Heidee) Culver; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Hannah Mae) Lenker, Robert (Marcia) Lenker and David Lenker; sisters, Mary (Don) Richey, Geraldine (Lowell) Threewits, Naoma (Jay) Voke; brother-in-law, Melvin Gehron; sisters-in-law, Ester and Ann; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Also deceased are his first wife, Helen Rose Lenker; second wife, Mary Strait Coby Lenker; and brothers, Joe and Paul Lenker.
He was a farmer, worked as an EMT with Ansonia Rescue and owned and operated OH Farm Services and L & Z Mowers. He and his wife delivered RV's together while traveling. He was a member of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII, and of the Greenville Missionary Church. He also was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
There will be a service at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Greenville Missionary Church, Greenville, the Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville.
