Catherine M. Miller, 90, Rockford, died at 3:01 p.m. March 12, 2013, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.

She was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Liberty Township, Rockford, to Theodore "Ted" and Carrie Becher Leininger. On Dec. 29, 1945, she married Glenn N. Miller, who died June 24, 1994.

Survivors include her son, Jerry (Cheryl) Miller of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a son-in-law, Kenneth (Margo) Brodbeck of Celina; a sister, Dorothy Jean Hellwarth of Celina; three grandchildren, Kris Ann (Tim) Brodbeck Kaiser of Troy, and Aaron and Taylor Miller of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Ryan Kaiser of Troy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Brodbeck, and grandson, Jeff Brodbeck.

She graduated from Willshire High School and International Business College in Fort Wayne, Ind., where she was an honor student in 1941. She retired from Parkway Local Schools after 21 years as the high school secretary. She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga, where she had been very active.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran, Chattanooga, the Rev. Karen Tammoria officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chattanooga.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford.
